Hand made in house with CT local dairy since 1969. Holy Cow Ice Cream is a vintage American Ice Cream Shop located in the heart of Newtown CT.

What was once the "Ice Cream Shop" made it first scoops in 1969 and was founded by Charlie White who also owned a sister shop in Woodbury, CT.

Charlie eventually sold the business and passed on the reigns. In 2009 The Ice Cream Shop was sold a final time to Michael Coppola and Jason Rabatin. With the new owners came a new name..."The Holy Cow," a play on both the location of the shop (Church Hill Rd) and because it was the thing we heard people exclaim the most when they tried our ice cream!

Even though the name has changed the ice cream is still made the same way it was nearly 50 years ago. With local sourced dairy from CT farms and a little bit of love.
